Devlog #2 Early-Playtests
Early Play-Tests
In my very early play-tests i got myself some valuable feedback on the game, a lot of it helping to emphasize how the game feels to the player.
In the early tests, some of the common discussion lied around the movement of the character, it looked and felt good according to the testers, with only a couple things holding it back, which is the speed of the character combined with the more cramped space of the map being a bit incompatible, also the players jump not having a clearly defined limit.
Another big thing on movement was that , while mostly good looking, the controls themselves are more difficult and jarring , especially since it hasn't been properly explained beforehand as of yet in-game.
The other mechanics of the game in theory have been given a thumbs up, but as said, only in theory because besides a door and key the rest of the features remain a bit broken.
Other than that, as touched upon earlier the map should become both wider and longer to create a better scale/scope for the player to properly maneuver in, and adding more content within the expanded map.
That's all for now :)
